Kbro, the largest Broadband & Cable TV Service Provider in Taiwan, Picks Orbweb Connect IoT Platform for its Home Surveillance Service

PALO ALTO, California, April 5, 2017 – Orbweb Inc announced that Kbro selected Orbweb as its long term partner for its Smart Home Surveillance Service. Kbro is the largest broadband and cable TV service provider with more than 2 million residential and commercial customers in Taiwan.

Kbro has been in the broadband service industry for years and only just recently started to offer monthly subscription based home surveillance and monitoring service. The service package includes an IP camera and a companion mobile application and allows the family to monitor their home, kids or pets while they are away from home. However the service requires on-site installation by technicians sent from Kbro which has become an increasing overhead contributing to its cost after all.

“The core value of Orbweb’s Connectivity Technology is to simplify the setup process and allows business to focus on their product and service.” said James Wei, EVP of Orbweb Inc. Orbweb Connect Connectivity Suite has transformed this complicated network setup and configuration into a simple QR code scanning and as the result, Kbro now only need to mail out the camera to its user for self-installation.
